I am a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with two decades of experience working in neurological, acute care, and home health physical therapy.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), I have helped thousands of seniors regain their strength, balance, and confidence through surgeries, illness, and injury. This means I am comfortable addressing functional mobility, independence, and safety with those facing challenges such as strokes, Parkinson's Disease, dementia, cardiorespiratory illness, and chronic pain.
As a CPT and PTA, I do not provide independent physical therapy services. However, physical therapists and care managers regularly refer clients to me to provide therapeutic exercise and support that complements their services.
With certifications in yoga and integrative nutrition and a B.S. in clinical exercise physiology, my wholistic, open-hearted approach is grounded in scientific knowledge and clinical experience. And as a breast cancer survivor and lumbar fusion recipient, I intimately understand the resilience required to overcome injury, illness, and pain. Now "on the other side" I truly see the curves in my path as gifts meant to serve others along theirs.
Beyond my passion for supporting seniors, I am the devoted mom of one incredible teen. Together we enjoy traveling, paddle boarding, hiking, and trying new recipes.
If you, a friend, or loved one is looking to maintain functional balance, independence, and safety, it would be my pleasure to support you. Simply send a quick email to Lara@TheraCare4Seniors.com or call/text me at 571-207-7279.
